For God so loved the world, that He gave His only son and whosoever believes will not perish, but they shall have eternal life. John 3:16

This is quite the popular verse but a very powerful one at that. The world and man have been corrupted because of the sin of disobedience committed in the beginning. We were then separated from God and couldn’t save ourselves from condemnation, this condemnation had effect on the world too, that’s why there are floods and earthquakes and whatnot. God knew that man could not save himself, so He had a plan and revealed it to the prophets of old, although they had no understanding and could only prophesy. God then came down in form of a man named Jesus Christ, this man lived amongst us, suffering temptations like us but never gave in. He then died for the forgiveness our sins, and rose again after 3 days for our justification. We who believe in Him are no longer dead in sin, we’re alive to God and He counts us as righteous. There’s no more condemnation for us who believe because the Holy Spirit is at work in us and where sin abounds, grace abounds much more. But this does not in any way mean we should go ahead sinning,

What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

Romans 6:1-4

The Gospel is really simple and should be preached just like that, no unnecessary depth. Christ has paid the price for us and all we have to do is believe. That is the Gospel! You may ask questions like, “If God is so good, why is there evil in the world?”, “Where do babies go after they die?” I would be answering those questions with time on my blog, but know that someone loves you and His name is Jesus Christ. If you haven’t already, invite Him into your heart today and receive the eternal life He has to offer you.
